Year 9 pupils visited local banks in Gloucester town centre to conduct a survey of bank accounts available to teenagers. This visit was in relation to our ‘Managing your money’ topic which aims to help pupils explore the world of borrowing, credit and debt, and to allow students to make informed and prudent choices when thinking about borrowing money. This particular visit helped students to understand what bank accounts are, what advantages they have and how bank accounts and plastic cards work. Findings from the surveys were presented in a class discussion.
Pupils also made some lovely posters citing their findings, which are now displayed in the Year 9 classroom.
