Our Year 9 pupils visited local banks in Gloucester town centre on Monday 9th May to conduct a survey of bank accounts available to teenagers. This was in relation to our ‘managing your money’ module which aims to help pupils explore the world of borrowing, credit and debt, and to allow students to make informed and prudent choices when thinking about money. The aim of the trip was to help students understand what bank accounts are, what advantages they have and how bank accounts and bank cards work. Findings from the surveys were presented in a class discussion. Pupils have also created a bank survey display to put up in the Year 9 classroom.
