Citizenship Day 2016 - Thursday 20th October 2016

Annual Citizenship Day, 2016

‘Broadening Horizons’ – An outstanding initiative to enable pupils to experience a wide range of activities outside the classroom, develop key skills, enhance SMSC development and cross-curricular links.

For more information click here.

Following a very successful day last year, we have organised another fun-packed day of different venues/activities to give our pupils opportunities to experience life outside the classroom. The visits also tie in with work studied in Citizenship and other subjects.

Citizenship Day offers our pupils an opportunity to actively contribute to the local community through various exciting initiatives.

Citizenship Day is also about promoting community cohesion & engagement, supporting young people to feel valued as contributors and to understand and become more involved in society.

Pupils will present their experiences to the whole school during Term 2 assemblies.

We are grateful to the centres for kindly accommodating our pupils.

We also acknowledge the support of Mrs F. Dhalech for organising the venues. JK!
