As part of Key Stage 3 History, Pupils in Year’s 7 – 9, visited Gloucester Cathedral on Monday 27th April 2015 from 9.30 – 11.30. The visit was arranged with the Education Centre at the Cathedral who gave students a tour explaining the history of the cathedral, how it has developed and been used since the first stone was laid in 1089, how the monks lived and worked in the abbey as it was originally and how and why pilgrims visited the cathedral.
