AASSG students proudly took part in Odd Socks Day 2025 as part of our PSHE curriculum for Anti Bullying Week, celebrating this year’s theme: Power Up!
The day was all about embracing individuality, spreading positivity, and recognising the power we each have to make a difference. By wearing odd socks, our students showed that everyone is unique and that’s something to celebrate.
At AASSG, this message is deeply connected to our Islamic values. Islam teaches us to show kindness, compassion, and respect to others, and to stand up for those who may not be able to stand up for themselves. Our students reflected on how simple acts of friendliness such as a smile, an invitation, or a helping hand can transform someone’s day.
Through creative activities in PSHE and Islamiat lesson, thoughtful discussions inspired by the whole school assembly , and plenty of colourful socks, AASSG students ‘powered up’ together, committing to be active allies, support their peers, and help build a community where everyone feels safe, valued, and included.
