KS3 Geography Field Trip National Trust

KS3 Geography Field Trip National Trust, Tinkley Gate at Woodchester Park, Nailsworth, Gloucestershire

We have organised a fantastic opportunity for KS3 to visit the National Trust site, Tinkley Gate at Woodchester Park, near Nailsworth on Friday 26th January. This will give them a chance to explore the woodlands around Gloucester and carry out geography fieldwork, which is an integral part of our geography curriculum. Pupils will also take part in a survey, which will play a vital role in a research paper in the development of community relationships with the National Trust.

On this trip, pupils will get the opportunity to do the following:

  • A guided tour of the site, discussing the history, sustainability, conservation work and plans for the future
  • Meet and greet a ranger/other staff and discuss types of careers in the National Trust
  • Nature orienteering - chance for students to be active in nature and enhance their map skills using Ordinance Survey Maps
