As part of the schools RSE/PSHE curriculum, students discussed the importance of mental health, wellbeing and strategies to seek advice, help and self-care.
Students were encouraged to explore the meaning of Mental Health, who it can affect and what the symptoms could be.
They created mind-maps to share ways in which help can be sought and accessed via faith, school, home and external agencies.
Strategies for wellbeing and self-care included turning to Allah, zikr, speaking to trusted adults, going for a walk, connecting with nature, reading, meeting friends, remembering positive memories, enjoying a hobby and eating healthy foods to nourish both the body and mind.
Students showed their support for Mental Health Awareness by wearing green for the day and enjoyed free sweet juicy clementines for break time for their healthy snack. MashaAllah
