As part of the PSHE curriculum, Yr7 participated in an educational visit, centred around life skills and personal choices at SkillZone.
Students interacted within multiple zones at the life-size skills village learning to recognise risks and dangers to allow them to think and make safer choices in different scenarios whilst at home, travelling or taking part in leisure activities.
Scenarios included what can cause house fires, what to do when discovering a fire in the home, calling emergency services, safety at rail & level crossing, as well as understanding the risks of knife crimes and how the magistrates courts work. The 4D interactive experiences really brought to life the challenges young people can face today.
A huge thanks to all the wonderful volunteers at SkillZone, Tuffley, for making the scenarios so engaging and fun whilst highlighting the serious risks and life-skills involved.
